CAIT

Ironman, Trail Runner, Mom

Cait (frmly Snow) raced triathlon professionally for over 15 years:  5 years on Team USA racing Olympic-distance and 10 years of long-course racing. During that time, she earned top honors at numerous full and half Ironman events. She competed at the IM World Championships 8 times, finishing top 10 four times (twice as top American), and still holds multiple run course records.

Her passion for the sport drove her to begin coaching in 2007. Over the past 15 years, Cait has had the honor of working with athletes from an array of backgrounds. She has helped these athletes reach their goals within the sport by not only building strength and endurance but also maintaining overall health.

Cait enjoys working with athletes of all abilities! While podiums and qualifications are fun, the energy that athletes bring to their training and the coach-athlete connections are where she finds more joy and fulfillment.

Cait's other passion is her family.  Her cup is most filled with when spending focused time with her partner, Ben, their daughter, Fianna, her bonus son, Isaac, her mom, and/or her sister.

BEN

Coach, Athlete, Dad

Ben has always loved to coach and teach many different subjects when given the opportunity. He rediscovered his love for running 7 years after leaving the Navy. He had become a self-proclaimed couch potato after leaving service. Fast food and booze were his two favorite food groups. He ballooned up  (not in muscle) and knew it was time for a change. He could barely run around the block without having to stop to walk.

Once he reentered the world of endurance running in 2008 he quickly became a student of the sport. Ben took it upon himself to read every endurance coaching book he could lay his hands on. He sought out new methods and articles constantly. He used the information to coach himself and earned a BQ just a year after he couldn’t run around the block. He has since been a multiple time Boston qualifier and competed in events from a street mile to 200 plus mile trail races.

After breaking his foot in 2019 he started to swim and bike in 2020 to rehab and decided to turn his attention to triathlon. He has had the pleasure of being coached by one of the best coaches in the world Coach Cait (Snow) Christly. His first year competing in triathlon he earned All World Athlete Gold status with ironman, finishing 3rd at Washington 70.3 and earning a spot at the 70.3 World Championship.

The interest in coaching lead him to complete USATF and RRCA coaching certifications. Ben has continued to be a sponge of the latest science and training methods in endurance coaching. He is stoked to work with athletes of all different levels from true beginners to seasoned elites.

Ben resides in Vancouver, WA with his partner, Cait. They have a 1 year old together, Fianna. Ben also has two other children, Isaac (9) and Amber (23). When he is not working his day job as an RN, training, playing with his kids or hanging out with his partner, you can find him vegging on the couch!
